I know that I am not alone in the fact that I sometimes don't always have time for breakfast. The problem is that I am one of those people who HAVE to have breakfast. There are three basic flavors that I keep drifting back to: blueberry, cinnamon apple, and cherry. I think blueberry is the best out of those three mainly because the apple is too dull from the cinnamon and the cherry can be too sour for a breakfast bar. They're great because they're small and in a wrapper so you can eat one at any time. The only real downside about Nutri-Grain bars is that they really aren't that nutritious. They do not have as much fiber as one might think. For me, living in a dorm means that one has to sacrifice a certain amount of nutrition. One of the things sacrificed is fiber. Whenever I eat a Nutri-Grain bar I always do so under the assumption that I'm getting a lot of fiber. NOT TRUE. While they may not be good for you, they are not neccessarily bad for you. Plus they taste pretty good and they fill you up so that your stomach does not start growling in the middle of class.

Nutri-Grain bars or any type of breakfast bar for that matter is the way to go if you're in a hurry and don't have time to eat a complete breakfast. Kellogg's also makes a "Special K" Protein bar that goes well on an empty stomach(chocolate peanut is the shit). Unfortunately, they provide 1 g of fiber, so I suggest if you need to alleviate constipation, Metamucil is the way to go.
